Buying Japanese booster boxes: contents, shrink wrap and shipping
Japanese booster boxes are popular with collectors and openers alike: they release first, and many high-class sets are only available in Japanese.
What is inside
- Pokémon, main expansions (Scarlet & Violet era) — 30 packs of 5 cards.
- Pokémon, high-class sets — pack counts vary by set; Pokémon Card 151 is 20 packs of 7 cards, while some high-class sets use 10 packs of 10 cards.
- One Piece booster boxes — 24 packs of 6 cards.
Each of our box listings states the set and code; ask us if you need the exact pack count.
Factory sealed
Current Japanese Pokémon and One Piece boxes leave the factory in shrink wrap. We only list boxes with the shrink wrap intact, and we photograph your exact box before it ships.
Why boxes can be hard to get
Popular Japanese boxes often sell out at release in Japan, and shops limit how many one customer can buy. That is why the price of a sealed box can rise after release.
Shipping a box
Boxes are packed in a rigid outer carton with padding so the corners and shrink wrap arrive intact. Duties are set by your country; see shipping & duties.
